SUMMARY:

The Innovation Lab is part of the University’s Research and Development department, we are tasked with the mission of re-imagining the education experience by infusing leading-edge technology, content and methodologies leading into exceptional and enduring student outcomes.

 

As a Communications Specialist, you will manage initiatives around various digital communication tools (such as Remind), lead faculty training and support to ensure their adoption across all of our programs Provides in-depth best practices communication training to faculty and academic leaders. You will create and maintain a library of robust content to be utilized across all campuses, which will include a library of motivational, technical, and academic focused materials. Ensure the product high-quality digital communication tools add value and have evidence-based positive outcomes for students. 

Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the University’s Code of Ethical Conduct, Compliance Agreement, Sexual Harassment Policy or any of its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

·    Provide strategic direction in the utilization of Remind and other similar tools

·    Create & maintain a library of quality content (technical, motivational & academic)

·    Partner with internal clients (academic & technical) to ensure effective use of the platform

·    Innovate with external partners to ensure best use of digital communication tools.

·    Provide input to internal and external constitutions on digital communication roadmaps, including the development of new digital solutions, programs and innovative student communication models

·    Provide weekly and monthly reporting and insight analytics on product performance

·    Ensure that product best practices are adopted across campuses, which includes training and educating employees about the product

·    Create engaging content and monitor product performance to ensure positive end-user experience

·    Provide support of digital communication tools to faculty and administrators

·    Act as an escalation point between ACC/WCU users and the Remind support team

·    Assume responsibility of system administration where appropriate including coordination, planning, and troubleshooting of rostering system and other system integration points (such as SIS or LMS)

·    Create training materials and best practice documents

·    Attends required meetings.

·    Maintains confidentiality of all customer, student, associate, and/or university information as required.

·    Maintains regular and timely attendance, reports to work as scheduled and assures time worked and/or time-off is recorded properly.


EDUCATION:

·         BA/BS Communications or equivalent experience
